OH SOLDIER! I SALUTE YOU.

The language department provided students of class 6,7  and 8 L2 HINDI children with detailed information about the life of soldiers. How their lives are filled with difficulties and challenges, it  was highlighted by  a guest lecture. R.t Brigadier V. A Subramaniam and  security officer of Bala Vidya Mandir, Mr. Madhavan  who was an Army Jawan  himself. Mr. Subramaniam came to  our  school and spoke about patriotism, dedication and the day-to-day life of a soldier from his personal experience. The students took part in this exchange with complete enthusiasm. To show his respect towards the soldiers, he sang the song ‘kandhe se milte hain kandhe’. One student gave a short speech on the duty of citizens towards the country, after which, the students unfurled the national tricolour, which gave the occasion a special dignity. In the end, singing the song ‘bade chalo’ as a group song, the students took a vow to take continuous efforts towards the nation’s bright future.

The life of a soldier is not in any way less than a penance. A true soldier distances himself from his personal life and displays hard work and dedication through his entire life. You will not find a better model than them even if you search all over. If we sleep peacefully today it is because of the sacrifices of our brave soldiers.

“Sleep peacefully in your houses. Indian Army is guarding the frontiers.”
