INDEPENDENCE DAY 2016

The 70th Independence Day of our great nation was celebrated in school on 15th August, Monday.


The programme began with an invocation to the almighty followed by a welcome address.


Dignitaries on the dais were a fellow student and the chief guest S.B. Madhura , The principal, Vice principals and Army Officers from the OTA (Officers Training academy.) and the members from Tree foundation.


Our Big brothers were received in a traditional way as an appreciation for the good work and sacrifice of the uniformed forces in maintaining the safety and security of our great country.


The national flag was then hoisted and the national anthem and Flag song sung with great pride and fervour by all present. This was followed by the chief guest acknowledging the 4 school houses marching, with a salute. This was followed by a trained special parade by the students of classes VII and VIII.


Students of Class VI were dressed up as freedom fighters and paid their respect and gratitude to the inspiring leaders.


 Mementoes and paintings done by the students were presented to the officers and the guests.


As the programme progressed, there were speeches by students in Hindi, English, French, Sanskrit and Tamil . Songs fostering the spirit of freedom in our hearts were rendered in Malayalam ,Telugu and tamil. The function ended with a proud moment of a collective contribution of Spices and materials towards Elephant care to the members of tree foundation of India.
