Karuna Club

 

The Karuna Club develops in its members a comprehensive outlook of compassion and love for all living beings. It helps a child realize its social importance and encourage a source of involvement in preventing cruelty and in protecting harmony in the co-existence of man, animal and nature.

 

The karuna Club was inaugurated for the academic  year 2015-2016 during the month of June.


As part of the Rose Day celebration on 22nd September the students members of Interact Club and Karuna Club distributed almonds and soaps to the inmates of Cancer Institute in Adyar.


The students of classes I to VIII collected nearly 70 kg of rice .Students of class VIII visited the Blue Cross and donated the rice.


As part of Anna Dhanam 10 kg of rice was donated to the Satchidhananda Ashram Temple vellachery.


As a part of Children’s Day Drawing Competition was conducted   for class I to V, later certificate was distributed to the students.


On 26th January 2016   , Blood donation camp was conducted in school auditorium.,Which was organized by the The Gobal Hospital .

THE KARUNA CLUB ACTIVITIES 2014 - 15

 

The Karuna Club was inaugurated for the year 2014-15 during the month of June.

As part of the “Rose day” celebration on 22nd September the students members of  the Interact Club  and Karuna Club distributed almonds and soaps to the inmates of Cancer Institute in Adyar.The  Students of classes I to VIII collected nearly 100kg of rice and donated to The Blue Cross Society. Class VIII Visited the Blue Cross. 25 kg of rice was donated for Anna Dhanam to the Satchidhananda Ashram temple and Sevalaya.

As part of the children’s day celebration, drawing Competition was conducted for classes I to V on Nov 14th 2014 and certificates were distributed.

‘Blood donation Camp’ will be conducted on Jan 26th2015 in the school auditorium. ‘Nutritive Breakfast’ competition will also be conducted during the lunch period for class VI to VIII in January 2015.

KARUNA CLUB ACTIVITIES 2013 - 14

 

    JUNE-Inauguration of the club.
  • JULY- Guest lecture was arranged  on ‘‘Nutritive food’’ by Mrs. Sujatha Sambandam of science department .
  • AUGUST- Collection of rice for Blue cross was organised. Students of class I to VIII collected 200kg rice.
  • SEPTEMBER-As part of the “Rose day” celebration, students of class I to VIII collected Dates ,Apples & bath soaps for the inmates of the Cancer Institute.
  • Visit to Blue Cross was also organized to distribute 50kg of rice along with interact club members.
  • Visit to Sevalaya was organized for class VIII on Sept 7TH 2013, as part of their picnic.
  • NOVEMBER- As part of the “Children’s Day ‘celebration, drawing competition was conducted for class I to V on Nov   14th 2013.
  • DECEMBER-  Go Green Poster Making was conducted for class  VII during GC period.
  • JANUARY- Blood donation Camp was conducted on Jan 26th2014 in the school auditorium.
  • FEBRUARY- Salad making competition during  GC period for class VIII.

The Karuna Club endeavored to promote humaneness in the children of BVM and teaches them the joy of sharing. All the activities are twined around this concept of sharing love and giving.
