The Upper Primary Annual Day of Bala Vidya Mandir, Adyar, for the Year 2019-2010 was held on 25th July 2019 at the Vidya Peet Auditorium between 6:00 and 7:45pm. Students of classes 3, 4 and 5 participated which saw a variety of programmes that enchanted the parents and the guests. The chief-guest for the day was Mr.P.G.Subramanian,  principal of Bhavans Rajaji Vidyashram.

The programme started with an invocation to the Almighty, followed by a marvellous performance by the school orchestra, which was followed by English play, Pocahontas which displays a girl’s love to nature. The message conveyed was the man and beast should live in harmony. This was followed by dance which brought out the navarasa by their graceful movement and expressions.

 The official function had all the dignitaries on stage during which the chief guest addressed the gathering on the significant role played by the parents and teachers in the overall development of a child. This was followed by Hindi play which displayed wits of Birbal in the Akbar’s court. The Tamil play exhibited the relationship between the teacher and a student which kept the audience enthralled. The curtain came down on a yet another memorable event after the National Anthem.
